LEONARD REID Our family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved husband Len, Dad, Gramps and Great-Gramps on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at the Oakview Place Personal Care Home at the age of 95 years. Remaining to forever cherish Len's memory are his beloved wife Ev (Pookey), daughters; Gloria (Boris), Ferne (Gary) granddaughters; Colleen, June, Teauna and Kyra, great-grandchildren; Nicole, Nathan, Nick, Raylene, Cyeauna, Karisma, and Kyson. Len was born on July 29, 1913 in Newdale, Manitoba. Shortly afterwards he and his family moved to Winnipeg where Len spent the duration of his life. He worked at Stovel Advocate Press till his retirement. Taking pleasure in many things, gardening, golfing, curling and card games were his favorite past times. Although we are saddened by our loss we are so grateful for the many years we shared with him. Len's Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue. Our family would like to thank the staff on the third floor at Oakview Place for all their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donation in Len's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
