ROBERT PATRICK WARD March 24, 1951 - January 8, 2009 Peacefully following his strong and courageous battle with cancer, Bob passed away at Riverview Health Center at the age of 57. Bob was predeceased by his parents Mavis and Roland. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years, Margaret; siblings Penny Ward (Godfrey); Micheal (Tannis) Ward, and mother-in-law Phyllis. Bob will also be especially missed by niece Samantha, as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bob was a huge sports enthusiast and a great baseball player. He enjoyed participating and watching all sports, particularly baseball and hockey. Bob was employed at Parkside Ford for many years where he made many friends both with his co-workers and customers. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Riverview Health Center for the care and compassion shown to Bob during his brief stay with them. A memorial service will be held for Bob on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 12:30 p.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a reception to follow at the Army Navy Air Force Veterans Assoc.
