RAY VALLIERE May 30, 1944 January 8, 2009 Peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2009, at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit, Ray passed away at the age of 64, with his loving wife of 35 years, Joanne, at his side. Ray will be greatly missed and remembered by his daughter Lucille (Greg) of Surrey, BC, son Shane, grandchildren Melissa and Cody; sister Jean of Kelowna, BC, brother Marvin (Marlene) of Thunder Bay, ON; many nieces and nephews; Bigoraj Families; extended families and very close friends. Ray was born in Sioux Lookout, ON and later in his young adult life moved to Winnipeg, where he met the love of this life, Joanne. Ray loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, cutting the grass at his weekend get-a-ways in Harperville, and loved spending time with all his friends. As a young man, Ray worked as a fishing guide in Ontario and for the last 32 years has been employed by Plasti-Fab. We would like to thank all the staff at St. Boniface Palliative Care for all their help and to all our family and friends for all their love and support during Ray's illness. A memorial service celebrating Ray's life will be held on Friday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
