ANTONIO DE SOUSA MARQUES Born January 14, 1943 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Antonio de Sousa Marques on January 7, 2009. Antonio was born on January 14, 1943, in Portugal, the son of late Maria de Nazaré and José Marques. He immigrated to Canada in 1961, where he worked for Motor Coach (12 years) and MacDon Industries (30+ years). He was a very hard worker and dedicated his life to serving the Lord. He leaves behind his cherished wife Gloria Marques, his children Antonio Jr, Martin and Leonilde (Gigi) Marques, as well as, his sister Maria Helena (Armando Camara), his brothers Joao (Ester) and Manuel (Conceiçao) and sister-in-law Marcella Marques. Nephews: George Camara (Bonnie), Jessey Camara (Natalie), Rick Marques, and Fernando Marques (Rose). Nieces: Sylvia Camara Tavares (Dino), Amanda Camara and many great nieces and nephews. Antonio is predeceased by brothers Américo and Abilio, sister anjo , nieces Irene Avelenosa and Natalie Sifert. Special Thanks to the entire staff of GH4 HSC. Prayers will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel 1839 Inkster Blvd. Officiating Rev. Msgr. Maurice J. Comeault. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St. Pastor Bruce Martin and Pastor Bruce Logan will be presiding. Internment to follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Avenue.
