AUDREY CHARBONNEAU Peacefully with her loving family by her side, Audrey passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Audrey was born on July 2, 1935 and grew up in Elmwood. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Amy Palmer; brothers, George and Cyril; and sister Norma; grandson Joseph Trosky and son-in-law Brian Geswein. Audrey met her husband Leo and raised their eight children continuing to live in Elmwood. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gail, Tracy (Larry), Jackie (Dean), Marty (Ken), Darrell (Cindy), Robert (Monica), Jerry and Adelyn (Wayne), her 17 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her three sisters, Margaret Fingold, Marjorie Palmer and Joyce McTavish. Audrey's greatest pleasures in life were spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent many happy summers over the years sitting on the sand and taking walks at Grand Beach and Hillside Beach with her family. Saturday mornings were spent at garage sales with her daughters. And Tuesday nights were set aside for Bingo night. Audrey was a fun-loving, caring person whose life's focus was her relationships with people. She was always ready to give encouragement and never one to be judgmental to friends and family alike. Audrey only ever saw the good in people and she will be leaving the world a better place. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all who knew her for the special soul that she was. The family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and kindness during Audrey's illness. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue, on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Audrey's name to Cancer Care Manitoba.

  • I just found out about Audrey's passing. My late condolences to the family. Audrey lived next door to me on Talbot. All I remember about her is that she was a beautiful woman with a big smile. She always had time to say hello and chat. She was a caring person and everyone that knew her felt special. Thank you Audrey. - Posted by: Deborah (neighbour) on: Jun 21, 2012
