IRENE MARIE SKAWSKI With great sadness the family of Irene Skawski announces her passing on January 6, 2009. Irene leaves behind her husband and best friend, Cliff Horsfall, her children: Michele (Grant), Randy (Nancy), Faye, Jamie, and Diane (André); her grandchildren: Joni, Caitlin, Eric and Andrea; her great-grandchildren: Justin and Gage, and Cliff's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Irene was pre-deceased by her first husband, Michael Skawski, and her grandson, Jason. Irene was born in Gem, Alberta on July 5, 1939. She enjoyed playing cribbage, gardening and dancing, but most of all she treasured the time spent just sitting and talking with her husband, Cliff. Irene showed her love for her children by endlessly stuffing them with her great cooking- she made the best cabbage rolls, perogies and cinnamon buns! We will all miss her smile and her unconditional love. The family will be having a private service; anyone wishing to commemorate Irene's life may make a donation to their favourite charity in her name.
