WILLIAM ROBERT CHICK William Robert Chick, age 77 passed away in Palm Desert, California on January 3, 2009. Bill was born April 8, 1931 and was the 2nd youngest of six brothers born to Charles and Katherine Chick in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He grew up in the North End of Winnipeg attending Ralph Brown Elementary and St. John Tech High School. Upon completion of his education, he started in the construction trade and eventually with his youngest brother John they started their own carpentry business. He married his first wife Louise Heide of Eagle River, Ontario and they had two children, Janice and Danny. In 1965 Bill and his family moved to Southern California where he lived out the remainder of his days. He worked for many years for the S.E. Rykoff Co. in Los Angeles from which he retired in 1993. He married his second wife Angela Goletski, in 1984 whom he loved and cherished until his death. Bill was preceded in death by the unfortunate passing of his son Danny. Also preceded by his parents and older brothers, Archie, Ken, Leonard and Clarence. He is survived by his loving wife Angela in Palm Desert, CA and daughter Janice Chick and his SuperStar granddaughter Katie Chick of Reseda, Ca., his brother John Chick of Saanich, B.C. and Step Children Chris Goletski and wife Belinda of Atlanta and Christine Goletski of Los Angeles. Bill will be missed by all who knew and loved him. No one was more generous, kind, forgiving as Bill was, always so polite even thanking the hospice caregivers during the final week of his life for all their efforts. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to your local Heart Association will be greatly appreciated.
