PAUL L. MAZUR It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather Paul Mazur at the age of 83 years. Dad will be deeply missed by his son Robert (Cathy) and daughter Susan (Boyd), grandchildren Tony and Kimberly, step grandchild Keri and his brother John. He was predeceased by his wife Carol, his parents, Anne and Louis, brother Joe and sisters, Stella and Helen. Dad was born in Lowland, MB and took over the family farm. He soon found the love of his life, Carol and they married in 1951. The family moved to Beausejour in 1963 after Dad had established a partnership in a Ford dealership. Dad loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later on in life, Dad and Mom took up seasonal camping at Nutimik Lake. After a few years they purchased a cottage. These were some of Dad's happiest years. He loved taking his grandchildren out on the boat and taught both of them how to fish, but most of all, he just loved being there. In the past few years, Dad took up gardening. He was very proud of his garden which never had a weed in it. Dad was a down to earth man who didn't need much to make him happy; the kindest man you could ever know and was always seen with a smile. That was our Dad. Love you always. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, January 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue E., Beausejour. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 14, at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral chapel, with Rev. Fr. Mark Drozniak presiding. Interment will take place at a later date. Honourary pallbearers will be Larry Duma, Stan Witoski, Wayne Freund, and Victor Modjeski. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Paul's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
