PATRICIA DOREEN BURGESS (nee BELBAS) Peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2009, Pat passed away at the age of 71, with her brother by her side. Pat was predeceased by her husband Milton (Mac), parents John and Elizabeth, and her grandparents. She will lovingly be remembered by her brother Bob and wife Gerry, Uncle Red and Aunt Vera Kite and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat graduated in 1958 with a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Edmonton. After returning to Winnipeg she worked at Concordia, St. Boniface and Deer Lodge Hospitals. She enjoyed hiking, cross-country skiing and travelling. She was also active for many years in the Neighbourhood Watch Program, and the Winnipeg Humane Society. The family wishes to thank the staff of Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with the Reverend Canon Bob Webster officiating. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined, and donations may be made in Pat's memory to a charity of ones choice.
