Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICH SCHMIDT Peacefully on January 11, 2009 at Concordia Place Personal Care Home, Fred Schmidt, loving husband of Isabell Schmidt passed away at the age of 100 years. Fred is survived by his wife Isabell, daughter Iris, son Greg, grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces, nephews and many friends. Fred was born in Pine Ridge, MB and raised on his family farm. He was educated as a Blacksmith, and he found work in Oakbank. Fred then moved to Winnipeg to work at Leaders, where he met his wife Isabell. He finished his working days at Pritchard Boatyard, where he retired. Fred enjoyed spending time with his family taking them on picnics and camping trips every summer. Fred loved woodworking; he made all kinds of furniture. Fred enjoyed walking and especially loved the simple things in life. A Memorial service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow. Memorial donations may be made in Fred's name to Concordia Place Personal Care Home, 1000 Molson Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2K 4B8 GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 338-7111
