Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOYCE WINIFRED PATERSON (nee Jackson) The family of Joyce Paterson announces her passing on January 11, 2009 at Tuxedo Villa after a struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Joyce was born November 28, 1916 to Thomas Cyril and Hilda Jackson. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce in 1999. Joyce leaves to celebrate her life daughters Joan Moore and Elaine (Reg) Delannoy; granddaughter Donna (Glenn) Moore and great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Dayna and Austen Hall. She is also survived by her brother Brian (June) Jackson and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Joyce and Bruce married in September 1941 and moved to 848 Spruce Street where she resided until 2006. From an early age, Joyce enjoyed playing cards joining several bridge clubs over the years. She was an excellent seamstress, and needle worker. Her love of sports included tennis, swimming, curling and golf. Joyce and Bruce enjoyed travelling on motor trips and visits to Las Vegas, Florida, Hawaii and Europe. The family wishes to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa, especially those in station two for the care they gave Joyce the last two years. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2 or Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6.
