ALICE PAULHUS (nee BERARD) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at the age of 58. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Bert of 38 years, her son Shane and granddaughter Stephanie; Stephanie's mom Yvonne and Shane's fiancée Rene and her family. Also her brothers: Albert (Marie Anna) Berard; Raymond (Audrey) Berard; Guy (Christine) Berard; Florent (Rachel) Berard; Richard (Gisele) Berard sisters: Florence (Robert) Remillard; Juliette (Donald) Bonham; Gisele (Ron) Eldridge and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Germaine and her father Philippe. Alice enjoyed travelling to British Columbia, Alberta and spending summer holidays at nice resorts with her husband Bert. Alice worked at Clara's and Norwood Hairstyles. She was a wonderful hairdresser and worked for 42 years until she became ill. Alice touched everyone's hearts and was loved by family, friends and customers. She had a good sense of humor and a contagious smile. She will be sadly missed by all. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Victoria Hospital and Bethesda Steinbach Hospital. A special thank-you to Monique, Rene, Father Armand Legal and the palliative volunteers for their support and comfort. A Service of Remembrance celebrating Alice's life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
