She was predeceased by her husband Frank, father and mother, Hector and Leah, her brothers Leon and Albert, and sister Alberta as well as her sister Alice in infancy. Mom was born in the small farming community of Deleau, Manitoba. She left at 19 to pursue a career in nursing which spanned 50 years. To Mom, nursing was a vocation and patient comfort and care was always important to her. She was a nurse of the highest quality. She also had a vocation of prayer and was devoted to Mary and prayed her rosary faithfully for all that she loved. She was a wonderful, devoted mother, caring for us through many hardships sacrificing her needs for her children's. She never thought of herself first. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Taché Centre 5C for the wonderful care and compassion they showed our mother. Special thanks to Tessa and Collette, mom's nurses. Reisa Adelman, social worker and Sister Aurise for her prayers and compassion. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, January 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 710 Roanoke Street. Private interment to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
