Remaining to forever cherish Terry's memory are her beloved husband Robert and children Robert Jr., Christy, and Brittany; step-daughter Catharine (Darryl); sisters Nancy (John) Conolly, Sharon Irvine (Ian Hopwood), Linda (Frank) Hickling; brother Kelly; sisters and brothers-in-law Wendy (Reiner) Ruf, Pat Young (Kevin Stewart), Donald (Darlene) Young, Victor (Gayle) Young; nieces and nephews Debbie (Bruce), Stacey (Garrett), Russell, Samantha (Neil), Bradley (Shawnna), Brenna, Becky, Kelly Jr., Chad, Sean, Breanne, Brian; and step-granddaughters Riley and Rorie. Terry was predeceased by her mother Gladys; father, Alfred; father-in-law, Wilfred; sister-in-law, Candy and nephews Gregory and Vinson. Born in Winnipeg on September 2, 1951, Terry moved to Old Kildonan with her family in 1959. Later that year, Robert's family moved into a house the next street over, and they met. Terry continued to live at that home through 1981, when her parents moved out and Robert moved in. They lived and raised a family in her childhood home, where she still resided at the time of her sudden passing. Her most joyful times were spent with her family and pets, and tending to her many gardens. Whether out for a bite or curled up watching a movie she always had her family at her side. For over twenty years Terry volunteered for the Red River Community Centre, striving to help the community where she grew up and raised her family. Terry's funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street. Following the service will be a reception at Red River Community Centre, 293 Murray Ave., at approximately 2:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Terry's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6. A truer wife was never wed Her motherhood unsurpassed Good fortune she reveled sharing But always took hers last She'd give her joy or triumph But nothing of her pain Yours was the morning sunshine She'd keep the night's dark rain And though she walks among the angels now Enriching Heaven with her grace Her ascension to his Kingdom Has left the Earth a colder place
