Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOLVEIG ANDERSON We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother, Solveig, on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Tudor House, Selkirk MB at 91 years. To cherish her memory are her children, Myrtle Haibeck of Calgary, Vernon of Calgary and Alice McCuaig (Rick McRae) of Petersfield, MB, and daughter-in-law Liz Anderson; grandchildren, Shelley (Gilles) of Calgary, Shawna (Rob) of Kamloops and Carmel of Calgary, Cory Dicks (Sarah) of Little Currant, ON. Tammie Briscoe of Sault Ste. Marie, ON and seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers Emil (Jorgine) of Calgary and Norman (Lily) of Canoe, BC and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Oluf, son Edwin; son-in-law Bob McCuaig; granddaughter Brenda Shanks; brother Eilif; parents Edward and Lotte Ellingsen and sister Lily in infancy. Mom was born May 3, 1917 in Norway and came to Canada when she was 5 years of age. Married and farmed in the Norris Lake area where she worked alongside Dad until they retired and moved to Cedar Lodge in 1976. With respect for her wishes, cremation has taken place, with a family gathering only and interment to follow at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. The family wishes to thank Dr. Graham, Dr. Louden, Homecare Personnel, nursing staff at Teulon Hospital and nursing staff at Tudor House. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
