THEODORE (TED) STANWICK September 10, 1929 - January 16, 2009 Ted was born in Melrose, Manitoba to Bill and Katie Stankiewicz. He passed away peacefully, with family by his side at Seven Oaks Hospital. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his children, son Robert (Lisanne), daughter Kathy (Robert), his brother Stan (Carole), of Windsor Ontario, brother Joe (Alison) of Transcona and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Bernice in 2000, his parents Bill and Katie Stankiewicz, brother Casey Stanwick of Toronto, Ontario and an infant brother. Ted retired after working 39 years at Bay Bronze Industries. He was a man of simple means and enjoyed life to the fullest. Many thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, Health Sciences Centre and Middlechurch Personal Care Home for the wonderful care and kindness he received from everyone. Viewing/visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home. Funeral service, Wednesday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Pastor Ivan Blakney will be officiating. Interment will follow at Eastdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of their choice.
