JACOB GINTER Peacefully, on Friday January 16, 2009 at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, with his wife and family by his side, Jake Ginter passed away just12 days short of his 89th birthday. Besides his dear wife Katie, he leaves to mourn his passing his daughter Cordelia Ginter of Winnipeg; sons Larry (Claudia) of Marquette, Reney of Creston, BC, Kelvin (Jennifer) of Winnipeg; grandchildren Gregory (Debra), Gordon (Emily), Jamie (Dan), Alyssa, Hannah, Jacob, and Matthew; three great-grandchildren Jayden, Daniel, and Atavia. Also surviving are his twin sister Helen Wiebe, brother Abe (Betty), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Jake was predeceased by his parents, grandson Geoffrey Douglas Ginter, and by three sisters. The funeral service will be held at the Lowe Farm Bergthaler Mennonite Church on Tuesday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing at Morris Funeral Home today (Monday) from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations in Jake's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6; or the MS Society of Canada, 400-141 Bannatyne Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3B 0R3.
