Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDGAR OTT January 1, 1926 - January 18, 2009 Peacefully in his sleep our, husband, dad, opa and great-opa went to be with his Lord. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters and his son-in-law Rene Faucher. He is survived by his wife Selma, his children, Inga (Noel), Laura, Harry (Lorna), Bill (Kathy), Linda (Lionel), Doreen (Gerry), and Ben; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Edgar was born in Wjasohec, Ukraine. After the war he came to Kleinheubach, Germany, where Selma and Edgar were married. They immigrated to Morris, Manitoba, Canada in 1951, where they lived for a short while until they moved to Winnipeg. Edgar worked for Manitoba Sausage (Winnipeg Old Country) for 38 years until he retired in 1991. Edgar was a member at McDermot Avenue Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as an usher. He was always available to help with any work project that was required in his church. Dad loved to garden and to fish. He always looked forward to starting his tomato plants and planning his vegetable garden. Dad always had the best looking yard on the street. He was a helpful neighbor, ready to assist in any way. If so desired, donations in Edgar's memory may be made to the Meadowood Manor Chaplaincy. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Meadowood Manor, 577 St. Annes Road on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Chaplain David Holland officiating. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
