LARRY PAUL DEBOOY Larry left us January 16, 2009 to join that great rugby team in the sky. He was born September 5, 1950 in Diemen, the Netherlands. He is sadly missed by his wife and best buddy, Val and their families; mother Joanna; stepdad Marinus; mother-in-law Lilli; brothers and sisters, Jeff (Chris), Marcel (Albert), Pearl (Bill), David (Connie), Juli (Bo). Also left to cherish his memory are his dearly loved nieces and nephews, Erin, Jane, Anna, David, Andrew and Jayann. Our sincere thanks go out to the many doctors and specialists in Health Sciences Centre that cared for Larry over these past few years. A special thanks to nurse Cindy and pharmacist Cheryl for all their caring. Special thank you also to Arlene Robinson of the Selkirk Palliative Care Team and all who cared for Larry in Selkirk Hospital. Our home care nurses, Susan and Carol will be cherished always. He was a valued friend and inspired many as a coach and mentor of both rugby and life. The family would like to thank all our friends and family for all their support through this very difficult time. A special mention goes to Larry's Saracen mates and Val's sports friends. A service to celebrate Larry's life will be held on Friday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Thalberg, MB. (1 mile east of Hwy. 12 at mile 94N) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Siloam Mission in Winnipeg or the Palliative Care Team in Selkirk.
