RITA DORIS PETIT The family sadly announces the passing of Rita Petit of Selkirk, Manitoba on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the age of 53 years. Rita was predeceased by her parents, Prosper Petit and Jeanne Roy and by her brother Edward Petit. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her brother Victor Petit (Wendy) of Kamloops, BC; sisters, Louise Brulé (Lucien), Cécile Vandekerkhove (Ron), Marie-Rose Sych (Russell), Marie-Reine Petit, and her brother Paul Petit (Terry), all of Winnipeg, MB. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews The family wishes to thank the emergency staff at the Selkirk General Hospital and ICU staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held. Rita's cremated remains will be interred in the Ile-des-Chênes Parish Cemetery at a later date.
