Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM H. MCLEAN November 23, 1920 - January 19, 2009 William H. McLean passed away January 19, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital. He was born on November 23, 1920 in Red Deer, Alberta. William is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lena (Hofer) McLean, who will miss him dearly and by his two sisters, Thelma and Phyllis of Abbotsford, BC. William was predeceased by his father and mother, as well as his two brothers and one sister. William taught high school for 33 years, he taught in Fort St. John, Castlegar, New Denver, Penticton and Centennial School in Coquitlam, BC. He was a second Lieutenant in training army cadets in 1957 in Vernon, BC. Bill was active in the Pentecostal Assembly of Canada as a commander with the crusader boys. He also taught Sunday School and was a school superintendent. Bill attended Christian Life Assembly in Langley where he loved ushering and meeting people. He was always willing to help spiritually, physically or financially. He had a passion for History and Politics. His overriding passion was his rock solid faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has now been inaugurated into the heavenly realm for a life of service. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB with Pastor Earnest Goertzen officiating. There will be a public visitation on Monday, January 26, 2009 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. also at Springs Church.
