Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORA HELEN HADALLER (nee ZELL) It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Nora Helen Hadaller on January 22, 2009 at the Park Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 83. Left to cherish Nora s memory are: her husband of 59 years Bill; her three remaining children Lynn Dubesky (Richard), Jayne Sinclair (Jim) and Jim Hadaller (Cheryl); her daughter-in-law Joyce Hadaller; as well as her eight grandchildren: David, Vanessa, Andrew, Ashley (Marc), James, Katherina, Steven and Sabrina; and her sister Madeline Heining. Nora was predeceased by her parents, six siblings and her son Tom Hadaller. Nora was born near Minitonas, MB on July 3, 1925. She was the youngest of eight children born to Ferdinand and Jane Zell. At a young age, she became a teacher and taught in Birch River, MB. After she graduated from Normal School in 1946, she taught at three different schools in the Springfield Municipality. Soon after, she met Bill and they married on July 7,1949. They settled in Glass, MB where, while raising her family, mom managed to work extensively in the community and run the general store. Then, in 1963, the family moved to Transcona where mom would spend the rest of her life. Nora truly loved all the time that she spent with her family. Her many interests included: shopping at Eatons, cooking, reading, bird watching and going on the Paddlewheel River Boat. Her favorite place in the world was on the back deck of the cottage at Brereton Lake. Mom also spent much of her free time volunteering in the church community. A few years ago, she became an honorary elder at Transcona Memorial United Church. Prayers for Nora will take place on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A memorial service will occur on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. W. with Rev. Jeff Cook and Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. Private internment will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their thanks to all the staff at Park Manor Personal Care Home for the excellent care that they gave to Nora everyday for the past two years. Donations may be made to Transcona Memorial United Church or to a charity of one's choice. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
