Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES CAROLINE SOKOL September 20, 1932 - January 22, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Frances, at the St. Boniface Hospital with her family by her side. Frances was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2007, her father and mother, and brother Clif. She leaves to morn her passing, her loving children Clif (Marilyn), Christine (Dave), Ken (Esther), Karen, brother-in-law, Joe (Connie) and her precious grandchildren, Sara, Stevie, Daniel, Alycia, Aaron, and Amber and many other cousins and friends. Fran was born at the St. Boniface Hospital and resided in St. Vital area for most of her life until they moved to Grand Point where she enjoyed her remaining years. Fran worked at Osler Hammond Canton then devoted her life to raising her four children and grandkids and committing herself to work with her husband Bill in the family business of Triple C. Trucking, and Ace Disposal a Div. of N.C.R. Ltd. Her enjoyment in life was to make people happy. Fran loved the view of the Red River at the St. Vital Legion where she was an associated member. Her passion was bowling at the Dakota afternoon's bowling league where she held the position of Captain along with other numerous duties. Fran also cherished living in the country where she and her husband Bill curled in Ile Des Chene and Lorette Curling league with her neighbors and friends. Her favourite pastime was devoted to getting her feet wet at Sandy Hook at her best friend Joanie's cottage. She loved life and she will be missed by family and friends. Special thanks to Home Care for their support. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Frances life will be held on Tuesday January 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel 211 Regent Avenue, West.
