MARIE ELLA LAJEUNESSE (nee TESSIER) Marie passed away peacefully on January 21, 2009 at Foyer Valade in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Marie leaves to cherish her memory her son, Roger (Yvonne) of North Battleford, SK; her son, Armand (Donna) of Teulon, MB; her daughter, Lucille (Georges) Lambert of Winnipeg, MB; her son, Lucien (Susan) of Sun Peaks, BC; her 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren; sister Laurence Dumonceaux of Port McNeil, BC; sisters-in-law Irma, Rolande (Roland) Paquin, Thérèse Blais, and brother-in-law Charles-August (Lilianne), all of the province of Québec. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph; infant son Armand; siblings Charlotte Ternier and Léopold Tessier; grandchild Daniel Lajeunesse; and great-grandchild Lucien Decelles. Marie was born on March 22, 1911, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She married Joseph Lajeunesse on March 3, 1930. They were farmers in Saskatchewan and later in St. Claude, Manitoba. A few years after Joe passed away in 1975, she moved to Winnipeg. She had been a resident of Foyer Valade since 2002. The family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. J. Francois and all the angels of Foyer Valade for all the care and compassion given to our dear mother/grandmother. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27 in Precieux Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny Street in Winnipeg.
