EARL REIDER LUND It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our much loved, husband, father, grandfather, Earl Reider Lund on January 23, 2009 at the Selkirk District General Hospital. Earl is lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Rose Marie and children Bruce (Cherie), Valerie (Ron), Eileen (John), Tom (Diane), Gord (Rita), and Louise (Ron); grandchildren, Trevor, Christine, Steven, Ryan, Lisa, Neal, Alana, Jennifer, Matthew, Ashley, Jessi, David, and Michelle. Earl will be missed by many family and friends and his little dog JJ. Earl was a dedicated, hard working, patient man who enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He spent the majority of his working career in the automotive industry and later retired to enjoy working with his hands, playing on his computer and spending time with family and especially his grandchildren. Earl could often be heard whistling while he played and worked. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses at the Selkirk District General Hospital for their care and compassion provided during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2009 at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB, a viewing will be held a half hour prior to the service. A luncheon will be held following the service at the Royal Canadian Legion basement hall, 403 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB or a charity of your choice. We love you and you will be forever in our hearts Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
