ROSE (ROSIE) ROY (nee ROSCHUK) September 24, 1944 - January 22, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, mother-in-law, Grandma, sister and aunt, Rosie Roy on Thursday, January 22, 2009. Rosie leaves to mourn her passing her three sons, Albert, his wife Debra and their children, Alysia, Mason and Jacob; Ronnie and his wife Monica and their daughter Daytona; and Gary, his wife Susan and their children, Shelby and Nathan. Rosie also leaves to mourn her passing five sisters, four brothers and their families, Mary (John), Vicky (Don), Stella (Marvin), Sally (Frank), Lorea (Dean), John (Jean), Peter (Stella), Kazimar, Joe (Barb) and many nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention. Rosie was predeceased by her husband Lucien Roy; her parents, William and Sophie Roschuk and a brother Daniel at birth. We, the family would like to thank the following people for all their care and help in making Rosie comfortable during her long illness, Home Care, Selkirk Office, Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, Selkirk Betel Home, CancerCare Manitoba and especially Rosie's cousin Joan Pich for all her help and time, words cannot express our thanks to you all. As per Rosie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A luncheon to celebrate Rosie's life will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Little Britain United Church Hall, 5879 Hwy. #9, Lockport, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosie's name may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Rm. ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or The Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). We love you Grandma Rosie.
