Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLENA WILLIAMS It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of a great lady, my Mom Lena Williams, who passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Victoria Hospital. My Mom was born in Meleb, MB on September 6, 1936. She had a poor but happy childhood during the Great Depression of 1929 to 1939, and lived through the Second World War which was declared in 1939. Lena was predeceased by her parents, John and Eleen Chopek of Gimli, MB; sisters, Helen and Jean Hayka; daughter Debbie who passed away November 18, 1987 and son-in-law Bruce Bluethner who passed away on January 1, 1989. Lena will be sadly missed by her son Bryan. She is also survived by her two sisters, Ann Dubetsky, Elsie Knight; brother Bill Chopek, many nieces, nephews; two grandchildren, Brenna and Angie Bluethner; and her dear friend Blake Watson. A funeral service will be held at Thomson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome. Goodbye Mom. I will love you forever and always, as long as I live.
