MAUREEN TRUSS (nee KIZLYK) Peacefully, with her family by her side, Maureen passed away on January 26, 2009 at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 62 years. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Andy; mother Jean; mother-in-law Mary; brother-in-law John; sisters-in-law Carol and Chris; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Maureen loved her husband and the times spent at their cottage with family and friends. She also looked forward to their yearly winter trips to Mexico and the Southern States. She was an understanding and generous person who was always available to help relatives and friends when needed. Her compassion for others was always welcomed. During her lengthy illness she was never one to complain and always had a warm and friendly word for everyone. Maureen was an incredible person and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Glen Eden Home, 4477 Main Street. Viewing will take place from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. A special thank you to Dr. Pat Harris, Dr. Ted St. Goddard, and the nurses, nurses aids and staff of 3E Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion shown to Maureen and her family.
