Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE (LARRY) SIMARD September 27, 1931 - January 24, 2009 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Lawrence (Larry) Simard at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the age of 77 years. Lawrence will be lovingly remembered by his wife Florence, of 54 years; his children, Paul (Debby), Lynn Boychuk (Wayne), Guy (Mary), Mae Bukowski (Rick), Luke, Mark (Gabrielle), Mona, Lawrence (Doreen) and his adorable grandchildren, Paul Jr., Vernon, Reuben, Titus, Brent, Farrah, Christy, Kylie, Brett, Matteo, Devin, Dylan, Cory, Ryan and his precious great-granddaughter Chloe. Lawrence was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Dora; his brother Rene and grandson David. Throughout his life, dad enjoyed being self employed in numerous industries retiring as a roofer specialist. He enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, blueberry picking, country and mountain rides, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. Numerous vacations were taken with mom and other family members in their motor home. In the past year and a half he had made his home with mom in Calgary, Alberta but always enjoyed his visits back to where his heart belonged...in Manitoba. Prayers will be said on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., Green Acres Funeral Home. Funeral Mass to be held Monday, February 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Parish, 341 Munroe Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in the name of Lawrence to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Dad, Grandpa, Pepere, Thank you for all your hugs and kisses. We will always be smiling up at you, knowing you are at peace in heaven. Always in our hearts, your family.
