JULES BOUCHARD July 17, 1926 - January 29, 2009 Jules passed away on January 29, 2009 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital with his loving family by his side. Jules was born in Elie, Manitoba on the family homestead and worked at an early age along with nine siblings on the farm. In 1951 he married Diane Vincent and the two of them had a family of four children in Pine Falls, Manitoba. In 1956, they moved to Keewatin, Ontario and added six more to their growing family. Jules worked at the construction of the dam at Pine Falls, the Keewatin Flour Mill and the Kenora Pulp and Paper Mill until sickness forced an early retirement. One of his greatest joys in life was sharing life at camp on the island on Lake of the Woods with his wife Margaret. He was predeceased by wife Diane, his parents, Aime and Germaine, brothers Roger, Paul, Pierre and sister Jean Guenette. Also predeceasing him were his daughter Olive, her husband Bernard Ouellet, granddaughter Nicole Ouellet and her fiancé Rene Whiting. Jules is survived by his loving wife Margaret, his children, Phil (Debbie), Bernice, Rene (Micheline), Ronald, Gerald, (Melodie), Julie (John Hicks), Angela, David and Tim. He is also survived by his siblings Lionel and Joseph (Rose), Madeleine Fillion, Eva Fillion and Peggy Keough. Jules' legacy also includes 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Prayers will be said on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Louis Parish. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Parish. Jules' sons will act as pallbearers and his grandsons will be honourary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation or a charity of their choice.
