KATHERINE MITCHLER On January 28, 2009 at Neepawa Hospital, Katherine peacefully fell asleep in the arms of Jesus at the age of 88 years. Katherine was born September 21, 1920 in Waldersee, MB to Frederick and Martha Mauthe. She was baptized and confirmed in Christ Lutheran Church, Waldersee, MB. On April 6, 1940 she married Emanuel Mitchler; son of Heinrich and Anna (Dimler) Mitchler. Katherine was predeceased by her husband Emanuel, whom she was married to for 60 years and her twin daughters in infancy, Dorothy and Irene; her parents, Frederick and Martha Mauthe; brothers, Robert and William; sister Helen; and grandson Shawn. She is survived by eight children, Edwin (Laura), Leonard (Linda), Beverley (Lloyd), Mervyn (Shirley), Delmar, Kelvin (Laurie), Howard (Susan), Dale (Candace); 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn sisters, Minnie and Dorothy (Frank); and brother Walter (Dorothy). Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2, 2009 in the Christ Lutheran Church, Waldersee with Pastor Leon Gilbertson officiating. Interment will follow in the Waldersee Cemetery.
