BERNICE BALL On Wednesday, January 28, 2009, Bernice died at the age of 76 years, after an eight year battle with Multiple Myeloma (Bone Marrow Cancer). Remaining to forever cherish Bernice's memory are her husband of 56 years of marriage, David; daughter Doreen; grandson Jordan Duchnycz - his brothers, Thomas and Karey; sister Allysa and Mom and Dad Stormie and Ken Duchnycz; also her brother Morrie Mitchell (Sharon) of Detroit; cousins, Francis Strum of Chicago, Marie Howarth (Charlie) of Estero, Florida and Olga Matlega of Detroit; brothers-in-law, Thomas of Victoria, BC, Art and Doug Ball of Winnipeg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Gary in 1990. In keeping with Bernice's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Many thanks to Dr. Harris and the Oncology staff at Concordia Hospital, as well as the WRHA Palliative Care nurses and the staff on 3 East Ward of the Riverview Health Centre. Your kindness and caring was much appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernice's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
