DAVID LAWRENCE MAYTWAYASHING Ni-soo Bin-a-si (Two Thunderbirds) Raven Clan It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Dad, brother, uncle, grandpa and friend David Lawrence Maytwayashing on January 29, 2009. Dave was born on April 15, 1958 in St. Boniface, MB. He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Christina; sister Cathy Baptiste; brothers Roger, Ronnie and Lambert; nieces Kristen Dawn Maytwayashing and Angela Choken; nephews Kirby Choken, Allan Maytwayashing, Marcus Maytwayashing, Michael James Maytwayashing and Darryl Traverse. Dave is survived by his three children Dillon Maytwayashing, Michelle Acoby and Denise Acoby; grandchildren Dycan and Tegan Shorting, Rashaun and Ramsie Acoby and Hazye Acoby; sisters Sharon (Jack), Barbie (John), Marlene (Dennis), Mary (Mike), Lynn (Percy) and Myna (Larry) along with many nieces and nephews (too numerous to name) and uncles and aunts. He will also be missed by his special friends Joe Black, John Henry, Mike Gospen, Tim Jeffery, Bill Taylor, Kevin McIvor, Glenn Bray and Tammy Morse. Bill Taylor and his son Mike Taylor made special visits daily to Dave to have a game of cribbage. Percy McLean was Dave's personal chauffeur and Dave would always ask Percy to drive him to places he needed to go to. Wake services will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Manitoba First Nation Hall on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 and will continue until the Funeral service which will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Lake Manitoba First Nation Hall. Interment to follow in the Lake Manitoba First Nation Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Gospen, Bill Taylor, Glenn Bray, Siarle Hall, Don Jones and Kevin McIvor.
