Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTRUDY (GERTRUDE) STREIB July 1, 1929 - February 1, 2009 Trudy passed away peacefully on February 1, 2009 with her family at her side. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Philip and Caroline Streib, her sister Lydia and her brother Ed. She will be greatly missed by her sister Alice Miller and her brother Ron Streib and his wife Shirley, who Trudy shared a home with in more recent years. Trudy's family was of the utmost importance to her. She is cherished and remembered as a loving, kind and caring aunt by her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. They have wonderful memories of her as she spent countless hours entertaining them with games, trips to the lake and Grand Forks, Bombers and Jets games, Schmockey Night, Stars on Ice shows, Saturday shopping, Sunday dinners and many memorable Easter and Christmas Eve gatherings in her home. Trudy loved to laugh, do crossword puzzles and read romance novels. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake with family. She lived most of her life with her sister Lydia and together they were long-standing members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The two of them were also Blue Bomber season ticket holders for over 30 years and they travelled to numerous Grey Cup Championships with cousins and friends. Trudy worked most of her life at Perth's in Winnipeg. A celebration of Trudy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, located at 708 McCalman Avenue in Elmwood. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. ON THE WINGS OF A PRAYER Just close your eyes and open your heart, And feel your worries and cares depart.
