Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD WALTER SUMNER June 15, 1948 - February 1, 2009 It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of Clifford Walter Sumner of Dauphin River First Nation on February 1, 2009 at the age of 60 years. Clifford will be lovingly remembered by Lorna, his wife of 33 years; his sons, Leonard, Sheldon and Cornelius; daughters, Edith, Jessica, Bernadette and April. Also left to cherish his memory are his pride and joy, grandchildren; Kendra, Kyanna and Kyan. Clifford is survived by his brothers, Fred, Oliver (Mary Ann), Allen (Barbara), Stanford, and Freeman Sumner; sisters, Christine, Lorna and Edith (Marcel) of BC. Also left to cherish his memory are nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Clifford was predeceased by his father Charles on January 10, 1981 and his mother Mary on February 22, 2008, also three brothers, his in-laws Jessie and Harry Traverse. Clifford enjoyed a busy life working outdoors. He was a commercial fisherman, worked for many years at the Dauphin River Hatchery and served on Council for Dauphin River First Nation as well driving the Medical Van for the community. The Family extends heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff at St. Boniface General Hospital, Chief and Council of Dauphin River and everyone who came out to the hospital to show their support. Wake Services will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2009 and Friday, February 6, 2009 at Dauphin River Church commencing at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. Officiating the services will be Pastor Wilfred Bruce, Pastor Derek Letandre and Jim Anderson. Clifford was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was deeply loved and will be forever remembered. Arrangements Entrusted to P. O.
