ELEANOR IRENE READ Peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2009 at Beacon Hill Personal Care Home surrounded by family. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Hadley; she is survived by her children, Robert (Glenda) and Sharron (Ron) and grandchildren, Michael, Shawn, John, Jennifer, Colleen and Adam and eight great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Bell, Daisy, Gladys, Mary, Jim and Nelson. She was also predeceased by two very special friends, Bill Oleynick and George Landin. Eleanor was born in Cypress River, Manitoba on August 4, 1914. She graduated from Victoria Hospital nursing in 1937, and married her beloved husband Hadley on December 15, 1938. She had a long career at the Deer Lodge and Municipal Hospitals. Eleanor dedicated her life to nursing and helping others. In her later years she loved to dance, bowl, play bingo and travel. She will be greatly missed by all. A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6 at Thomson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eleanor's memory to a charity of your choice.
