ANTONIO VALENTE 1952 - 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Antonio Valente at his home on Thursday, January 29, 2009. He will be fondly missed and remembered by his daughters, Dulce (Robert) and Maria (Edwin). Grandchildren, Rachael, Shayden and Mikayla. His mother Candida of Portugal; sister Lurdes (Roland); nephew Daniel; niece Vanessa, as well as other extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Francisco. Antonio was a loving man, who was always thinking of a new prank or joke to share with the people he loved. He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather. He was born in Ovar, Portugal and was very proud of his Portuguese heritage. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Antonio to the Health Sciences Centre. Funeral service for Antonio Tony Valente will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street. Interment will follow in the St. Vital Parish Cemetery.
