Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL WILSON (formerly EMILE) Pearl passed away at the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the age of 84 years. She was born January 14, 1925 in Tarnopol Poland, and immigrated to Canada from the Ukraine in 1930, to settle in the Russell, Manitoba area and later in Winnipeg. Pearl and Stanley Emile were married in 1942, they raised four children in the Red Lake Ontario mining communities. Later they owned a corner store in West Kildonan. Pearl and Stan lived on a farm in the Lockport area, and finally settled in Winnipeg's North End, where Mom worked as a waitress at Eaton's and for her cousins at the Bell Hotel, and later as a Seamstress at Diane's Wedding Gowns. Mom was a very hard working woman, caring for four children and a home, along with either tending the store, or doing the farm chores. In 1994, Mom married Woodrow Wilson, and became a Mother again to three more children, fulfilling her wish to have seven children. Mom and Woody enjoyed many years of fun and happiness, travelling, and gambling, and enjoying life in their senior years, until her illness. Mom's wonderful culinary talents were enjoyed by her multitude of friends and family and nothing made her happier than to feed everyone. Mom was a prankster, and loved to tell a joke, and make us laugh. Nothing made her happier than to wrap her arms around her babies, a grandbaby or anybody's baby and surround them with love. Pearl was predeceased by her parents, Wasyl, and Maria Woloshyn; her sister Julia Hobbs; her first husband Stanley Emile; her grandson Jason Wilson; and son-in-law Bill Landiak. Pearl is survived by her husband Woodrow Wilson; daughter Judith Evers (Ken), Kelowna; Bill Emile (Pat), Victoria, Darlene Chimilar (Rob), Winnipeg, John Emile, Linda Landiak, Winnipeg, Bruce Wilson (Giselle), Pinawa, Karen Barbaro (Frank), Winnipeg; 15 grand-children, Kris, Kevin, Noelle, Sherri, Jennifer, Brenna, Ryan, Andrea, Evan, Kady, Tanner, Michael, Nicole, Allysa and Olivia; eight great-grandchildren, Elijah, Mateo, Ryanna, Emma, Ethan, Brodie, Nathan and Alexander. She is also survived by brother-in-law Paul Hobbs and nephew Tim Hobbs (Ann) (London, ON) and by a dear friend Lillian English. Mother You can only have one mother, Loving kind and true, No other friend in all the world, Will be so true to you, For all her love and kindness, She asked nothing in return, If all the world deserted us, To our mother we could turn, For those of you who have a mother, Treasure her with care, For you will never know her value, Til you see she's not there, To hear her voice, To see her smile, To sit and talk with her for awhile, To be together in the same old way, Would be our dearest wish today.
