MARY HELEN PLUCHINSKI (nee WUERCH) The family of Mary Helen Pluchinski sadly announce her peaceful passing, on February 3, 2009 at the age of 87 years, with family at her side. Mary was predeceased by her dear husband Adolf, an infant daughter, daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Gordon Honke of Calgary, and sister Elsie. Left to cherish her memory is her family, daughters; Edna (Richard) Manchul, New Westminster, BC, Helen (Len) Turcotte, East Selkirk, Marlene (Jack) Pendlebury, Kelowna, BC, Doreen (Ken) Forbister, Winnipeg, son Derek (Marren), Yellowknife, NWT, and her brothers; William (Mary), Barrie, ON, Otto (Thelma), Nanaimo, BC, and Alfred (Shirley, Red Deer, AB, as well as 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Mary was born on October 31, 1921 in Germany and came to Canada with her family an 1925. While working on a farm in Rosenfeld, she met Adolf and they married on January 20, 1940 and celebrated 56 happy years together. Mary put her whole heart into being a loving and dedicated wife and mother. She was a true homemaker, a great cook, and warmly welcomed one and all into her home. She will be forever missed by her children, grandchildren and all who knew her. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment will follow in the Garden of Everlasting Life, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks for the wonderful care given by the dedicated nurses and staff of Tudor House in Selkirk. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
