Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERMAINE HENRY (nee RACINE) It is with profound sadness that we lay to rest our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the age of 89 years. She leaves fond memories of a life devoted to her loved ones. Predeceased in 1961 by her husband, Joseph, she will be missed by her children, Evelyn (Joe), Gilbert, Jeannette, Louise, Léonne (Bruce), Camille (Linda), Bernard (Carol), Simone (Art), and Marc (Marlise); her brother, Joseph and his wife, Madeleine, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Fisher Branch, Manitoba on January 16, 1920. She spent most of her youth in St. Malo. On November 4, 1943, she married Joseph Henry and they spent 17 beautiful years together in Lorette, Manitoba before he passed away. Although raising nine children by herself must have been difficult at times, she never complained about this overwhelming challenge. Instead, she taught us to believe in ourselves and it was evident that she was proud of her children. Thank you Mom, for being the mom that you were. We could not have asked for a better role model and our wonderful memories of you will always be cherished. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, Manitoba for the special care that they provided for Mom. They always made sure Mom was looked after and she enjoyed her stay at the centre. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Notre-Dame de Lorette Roman Catholic Church in Lorette, Manitoba on Tuesday, February 10 at 10:30 a.m. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the Lorette Parish Cemetery following the mass. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
