EMIL STANKO March 31, 1914 - February 5, 2009 Emil passed away at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the age of 94 years. Emil was predeceased by his wife Mary; parents Mary and John; brothers Charlie, John and Jerry; sisters Mary, Olga, Jean and Dorothy. Emil is survived by many nieces and nephews across Canada and United States. Emil farmed in Brightstone and was employed with Manitoba Hydro for numerous years. He enjoyed the outdoors and many walks on his farm. Sincere gratitude is extended to the staff at the Personal Care Home. A special thanks to friend Anna DiClemente for her kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be in a charity of one's choice. Funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church, Lac du Bonnet, MB at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Mirek Szynal presiding. Prayers will precede the funeral liturgy beginning at 12:45 p.m. Interment will follow at the Brightstone cemetery.
