STEPHEN STADNYK Our dad in his 91st year passed away peacefully in the morning of February 4, 2009 at the Bethesda Place Personal Care Home in Steinbach where he resided the last four and one half years. Left to cherish his memory are children, Lorna (Lawrence), Robert (Simone) and Richard (Jean); grandchildren, Michelle (Jason), Allison (Rob), Trevor (Karen), Natalie, Michael, Nickolas, Sheena, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Megan, Lucas, Alexandra, Elliot, Deidter, Kaitlyn, Breanna; sisters, Lillian of Richmond Hill, ON, Ann of Fraser Lake, BC and brother Walter (Elsie) of Winnipeg. Steve was born October 20, 1917 at Sarto, MB, the second oldest of seven siblings. He married Mary Kachur in November 1940 and after 54 and one half years, Mary passed away in May 1995. He was also predeceased by his dad Onufrey in 1956; his mother Dora Boyechko in 1965; sisters, Sophie in 1979, Mildred in 1998; brother James 1997. The funeral service for Stephen will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach. Interment at the St. Michael's Cemetery, Sarto. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, General Delivery, Sarto, MB R0A 1X0 or to Bethesda Place Personal Care Home, 399 Hospital St., Steinbach, MB R5G 0E6.
