Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYICK HO LEUNG (nee LO) Yick Ho Leung was born on June 24, 1917 and passed away peacefully on February 4, 2009 at the age of 95. She joins her beloved late husband Shu Kau Leung. She leaves behind four children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Eldest son Fung Hing Leung and his wife Lin, second son Wai Hing Leung and his wife Rebecca, and youngest son Pak Hing Leung and his wife Sally; her only daughter Jean and husband Johnny Dang; grandchildren, Douglas and his wife Elizabeth, Magnus and Aidan Leung, Danny, Larry and his wife Shu Lin and Wayne Dang; granddaughters, Pauline and Everlyn Leung, Linda Dang and her husband Marc; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Raiden and Lauren. Yick Ho Leung was born in China and immigrated to Hong Kong. It was on December 15, 1974 that she immigrated to Canada where she was finally re-united with all of her children. Her life in Winnipeg was tough in the beginning and she ended up spending 35 years in Winnipeg where she was happy because she was with her family. She liked to travel between Winnipeg and Toronto to visit her children and grandchildren. Even though she did not speak English, she managed very well in Canada. She was very energetic and worked, walked and talked fast at all times. She liked to talk but it didn't matter what she said. In her heart, she always cared about her family. Now she leaves her family behind but her family will always remember her voice. Buddhist prayers will commence on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. and will continue on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
