ALFRED KUBE June 27, 1929 - February 6, 2009 Peacefully, with family by his side, Alfred died on Friday, February 6, 2009, at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 79 years. Remaining to forever cherish Alfred's memory are his wife of 53 years of marriage Helga; son Harry (Carolyn); daughter Marilyn (Frank); sister Elizabeth Scheier (William) of BC; grandchildren Kevin, Jenna and Sarah, Arran, Jenna, Leah; great granddaughter Abigail; as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dad loved camping and fishing and spending time with family and grandchildren and all of his friends. Alfred's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street, with Pastor Engel, presider. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, 88 Hespeler Avenue. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. N. Woo, the nurses and staff of Concordia Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alfred's memory to the Lutheran Church of the Cross or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6. Dad, you will always be loved and in our hearts and thoughts.
