Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLARRY (LAWRENCE) KENT LAROCQUE January 19, 1980 - February 6, 2009 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry. He was predeceased by his father, grandmother, grandfather and uncle. Remaining to forever cherish his memory: his soulmate Adrienne, mom Cassandra, step-dad Jules, brother Chris, sister Joan (Des), nephew Cooper, Gramma Joan and Grampa Adelard all his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to list. Many thanks to the wonderful care given by Health Sciences Centre staff, with special thanks to Dr Minuk and Vicki who Larry held in high regard. While Larry was battling with liver disease for the last year, he was able to maintain a good quality of life spending time with his friends and family. We would like to thank Adrienne who always stood by his side, his fight-night buddies, his brother Chris for watching out for Larry and Dan Cox for being his best bud. We are so grateful that Larry's stamina allowed for us all to come together as a family one last time in September to celebrate Joan's wedding to Des. Memories will be forever cherished from this time together. Larry always had others best interests in mind. He was constantly looking for ways to better the lives of those around him that he loved. He was never one to just sit around, constantly on the go. With his dry, witty sense of humour he could brighten even the darkest day. He was always up for a challenge and never once complained during his battle. He was a pillar of strength and courage to all who knew and loved him. He will never be forgotten. In keeping with Larry's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral service held. Our family will be celebrating his life on Friday, February 13 with an open house for friends and family from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. Louis Center, 445 Tissot (just off Provencher). In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make an in memory donation to Transplant Manitoba -Gift of Life program Rm. GE441-820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1R9. As Larry was waiting for a transplant, a fundraiser was held for him and as per Larry's wishes all unused funds will be donated to further the organ transplant program. Larry was in awe of all the people that came forward to offer their support and generosity throughout his illness. They will never be forgotten by those closest to him. Now more than ever we realize the importance of signing your donor card, talk to your family about organ donation and please sign your donor card today.

It's far too soon for Larry to have left us all. But the kindness that he showed toward people will never be forgotten. Like his Father,(Bert) my best friend he was loved by so many. Although the only ones that suffer is all of us left here on earth. Larry is now in the comfort of God's love and in his father's presence they are playing heaven's sports together. I will miss you Larry. PS Tell your dad I miss him too. - Posted by: Jim Mikolajek (Friend) on: Feb 09, 2009
