Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLIZZIE PAUL (MOM) It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Lizzie Paul on February 6, 2009 at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, Manitoba at the age of 73. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years Raymond, her daughters Geraldine (Howard), Margaret (Vincent) of Whitefish Bay, Ontario, her sons Michael (Yvette), Guy (Glenna) and Brennon (Karen) whom she had raised and considered as her own, her grandchildren Howard (Jackie), Clarence (Nikki), Heather, Apollo, Pharaoh, Michael, Gilbert, Mary Louise, Guy Jr., her great-grandchildren Joseph, Jacob, Jeramiah, Jordan, Nicholas, Jermy (Smooky), Isiah, Tresta, Caiden, Chelsea, Keisha, Kiara, Michaela, two great-grandchildren Brennon, Shawndey-Rae, her mother-in-law Margaret Paul, brother-in-law Kenny (Elaine), sisters-in-law Dorothy Beardy (Gilbert), Beatrice Missyabit (Robert), Shirley Sumner (Fred), Lorna Meanis (Christopher), and several nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends. Lizzie was the last surviving member of the Mousseau siblings. She was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Marie Louise Mousseau, siblings Lawrence (Rose) Mousseau, John (Doris) Mousseau, Martha (Rufus) Houle, Freda Mousseau (Eddy Maytwayashing), Alfie Roulette, father-in-law Napolean Paul and brother-in-law Fred (Maury) Paul. Lizzie was born on January 11, 1936 at Sandy Bay First Nation. She married Raymond Paul on June 23, 1956 at Lake Manitoba First Nation where she resided and raised all their children. Lizzie was a very devoted catholic, always carrying around her yellow rosaries and saying her prayers. In her early years she loved to visit with friends and relatives, have a few drinks, joke around, share stories and she enjoyed going to bingo. She provided many years of homemaking services to the Lake Manitoba First Nation residents. To earn extra money she baked pastries, cleaned and painted homes. Wake services will begin on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at her residence. Funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church at Lake Manitoba First Nation with Father Ernest Kamath officiating. Interment to follow in the Lake Manitoba First Nation cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Brennon Paul, Howard McLean Jr., Clarence Paul, Apollo White, Guy Paul Jr. and Gilbert Paul. Crossbearer will be Mikey Paul. Honourary pallbearers will be all her relatives and friends in attendance. The family would like to thank Dr. Neil Burnet, the nurses and staff at E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital and the Lake Manitoba Health Centre staff for the many years of caring for her medical needs. Also thanks to Joyce Edwards-Froese for the excellent home care she provided to our mom; the Lake Manitoba Chief and Council along with Arnason Funeral Home for all the support that was given.
