Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE-AIMEE MANNESS (Formerly REIMER) (nee ALLARD) April 27, 1935 - February 8, 2009 Surrounded by her loving husband and family on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the age of 73 years, Rose peacefully passed away at St. Boniface General Hospital. Rose is survived by her husband Bruce; her son Todd (Brenda); step-children, Lori-Jean (Tony), Ron, Michelle (Doug); grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Morgan, Keenan, Shea; also brothers, Wilf (Marge), John; and sister Jeanine of Kitchener, ON, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her first husband Jake (1964); brother Denis (1980); brother-in-law Bob (1990); nephew Grant (2001); and her parents, Eugene (1959) and Emma (2000). Rose was born and raised in St. Vital, Manitoba. She attended business college in Winnipeg, following which she started her business career at the Marlborough Hotel (Winnipeg). From there she and her husband moved to Red Lake, Ontario where they operated their own business for several years. When Rose returned to Winnipeg, she worked for International Harvester for eight years. Her career at St. Boniface Hospital began in 1973, where she worked first in planning, then geriatrics before being hired by Dr. Jim Kirkpatrick to the Department of Surgery in 1978. Rose was the Senior Administrative Assistant for the Department of Surgery for over 18 years. She worked closely with Dr. Kirkpatrick and the University to set up the St. Boniface Surgical Associates which opened October 1, 1982. Following her retirement, Rose chaired the Guild at St. Boniface General Hospital, and most recently worked with the Princess Elizabeth Guild. Above all Rose enjoyed frequent games of golf, travelling and loved spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by all! A celebration of Rose-Aimee's life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Interment to follow.
