MARIE ROSE SABOURIN Surrounded by her family, Marie Rose Sabourin (nee Fontaine) passed away on February 11, 2009 at the Victoria Hospital, at the age of 90 years old. Marie Rose will be sadly missed by her children, Huguette Fillion, Lionel (Pamela), Brunelle, Jocelyne (Jean) Lafournaise, Paul René (Theresa) and Normand (Karleen); siblings, Noëlla Laroche, Yvonne Moore, Magella Turenne, Yvette Turenne and Laurent Fontaine; sisters-in-law, Alice Fontaine; Thérèse Fontaine and Thérèse Fillion, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Marie Rose was predeceased by her husband, Gérard Sabourin (1979); infant daughter (1948); parents, David and Laura (nee Joyal) Fontaine; siblings, Armand, Paul, Hughes, Adélard and Louise; as well as son-in-law Wilfrid Fillion and daughter-in-law Lucille Sabourin. The family extends its gratitude to the staff at Victoria Hospital for the kind care she received, as well as Dr. José François for his on-going support over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Children's Wish Foundation, Manitoba Chapter, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2. Prayers will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, on Friday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Drive.
