EDUARD (EDIE) RUTZ It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Uncle Edie on February 10, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 79. He was the beloved uncle of Evelyn Souvie and daughter Katherine, Walter (Leslie) Natynczyk and children Margaret, William and John, and Susan Natynczyk. Edie also leaves to mourn nephew and nieces in Germany: Walter Rutz and family, Renate Klug and family, Erika Slabizki and family and Jutta Rutz. He is also survived by sister-in-law Lucia Rutz and his best friend Hedy Wagner. He was predeceased by his wife Gertrud in 1995, his sisters Hildegard and Irene and brothers Carl, Walter and Huebert. Uncle Edie enjoyed his retirement years at the lake where he loved the outdoors and working on his passion of creating contraptions to make life easier such as his blueberry leaf cleaner. His sense of humour and his infectious laugh will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Uncle Edie had a great friend in Hedy Wagner and the family would like to acknowledge her for all she has done for him. The family would also like to thank the HSC MICU and GA4 for their compassion and caring. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Cemetery. 586-8044
