MARIE GIESBRECHT It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marie Giesbrecht at the Concordia Hospital on February 10, 2009. Mum was born on July 30, 1924 in London, England. She married the love of her life on March 26, 1945 and spent the next glorious 63+ years with her soulmate. Marie is survived by her husband Bill; daughters, Sharon and Adrianne; and son-in-law Brian. Mum was an active member of Grey Street United Church UCW. She enjoyed travelling to Brandon for the War Brides Reunion every year, as well as trips to Hawaii and to see her family in England. Music and dance brought Mum and Dad together and their music will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure to be a part of their lives. Her smile and sense of humour always brought sunshine in our lives. Mum will be sadly missed but she will live on through the laughter and wisdom that is shared through the memories of her life. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Grey Street United Church, 651 Sandhurst Avenue and Grey Street, Winnipeg. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Marie may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Room ON1160, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9. Mum, you will always be loved and in our hearts and thoughts. 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474 Ample parking behind funeral home Condolences: www.bardal.ca
